Landhuis Bloemhof

Landhuis Groot Santa Martha

On the outskirts of the village of Soto lying somewhat hidden in the countryside is Landhuis Groot Santa Martha in Dutch, or in Papiamentu, Landhuis Santa Martha Grandi.

Former Plantation House 'Landhuis Habaai' (Habaai Mansion) is one of the most beautiful of the Curaçao 'Landhouses'. Built at the beginning of the 18th century, it is also one of the oldest on the island.

The temple, is the oldest in continuous use in the Western Hemisphere, and is one of Curaçao's most important sights that draws thousands of visitors every year.

The Museum Exhibition illustrates the evolution of the Antillean currency, beginning with barter deals, to the use of coins from different countries, and finally, to the issuance of national currency for the Netherlands Antilles. It is owned and operated by the Bank of the Netherlands Antilles.
